BLOG | First All-Nighter or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Gripe Water

This might get a little loopy, but here we go.

Tonight was the first night so far that I didn’t get any sleep because of the baby being up and fussy. I know most parents (especially the douche bags) are like, “It’s a right of passage, man. Welcome to the club!” Spare me. This is the worst club to be in. Ever. And I got a Fish Jerky of the Month Club membership for my birthday once. This was not The Wife’s first sleepless night, so I have no right to complain. She’s been a trooper through this new and different world that we’re in and approaching it with much more patience and aplomb that I would have if I had a living, breathing human feeding at my teet every hour. But then again, what did we expect? It’s an overdone cliche that wives are the better halves of husbands, but it fits our situation to a T.

The baby’s stomach seems to have been bothering her with some gassy buildup of some sort. We were recommended Mommy’s Bliss Gripe Water and were pleasantly surprised. It really calmed her down and seemed to make her feel better naturally. Not like how an Ambien and a few Heinekens help make Daddy feel good at night. Can’t say enough about the Gripe Water though. Imma order a few cases of them. Really stock up the war bunker.

That’s it for now. New podcast up in the morning about Walmart and why I hate it there.
